SUPIR Lab members graduate with First Class Honours in Psychology

Congratulations to SUPIR Lab members, Rachel and Sallee, on graduating with First Class Honours in psychology. Both Rachel and Sallee received High Distinctions for their empirical theses, which explored the benefits of electronic contact in improving attitudes towards minority groups.
Rachel also received the Dick Thompson Prize for the Best Honours’ Empirical Thesis in the area of Social Psychology for 2016. Her thesis, titled ‘An Experimental Test of Virtual E-Contact as a Strategy to Reduce Stigma Against Schizophrenia‘, found a that E-contact significant reduced stigma against people with schizophrenia and general mental illnesses.
